THE EVENTS

THREE DAYS, THREE DISTANCES

The World Cup Final in Ulricehamn, March 19–21, spans three days and features three events: Interval Start, Sprint and Mass Start.

FRIDAY, MARCH 19

INTERVAL START

Allez! Allez! Allez! Friday marks the start of the World Cup Grand Finale. In the interval start, skiers leave the stadium one by one and race against the clock. Fastest time wins. It’s a thrilling, nail-biting race that won’t be decided until the final skier crosses the finish line – and the perfect way to kick off the weekend.

SATURDAY, MARCH 20

SPRINT

Sprint is the World Cup’s most explosive format. Short races, dramatic head-to-head elimination and a field of world-class skiers giving it everything they’ve got for just a few minutes. The sprint is decided through heats, followed by quarterfinals, semifinals and a final. Saturday is also the most intense day of the final weekend.

SUNDAY, MARCH 21

MASS START

The epic finale. The world’s best cross-country skiers line up together for the final race of the season. First across the finish line wins. Sunday’s mass start doesn’t just bring the final weekend to a close – it wraps up the entire World Cup season. Enjoy the season’s final races and experience the skiers’ emotional finish up close.
